Education: Currently a senior at the University of Oregon. My educational goal is to pursue a B.S. in public relations and complete an internship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at Rio EnCantos, a cultural tourism business.
Work: After years of entry-level jobs in retail, I decided to find work that connected to my education. I began at Lane Community College. I worked as a peer mentor to the various College Success Learning Communities, and as a Community Assistant & Social Media Coordinator for Titan Court student housing. I recently worked for seven months as a communications assistant at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History at the University of Oregon.
Community: I strive to be an interdependent citizen of my local community in Eugene. Out of my volunteer experiences, I’ve most enjoyed working with KLCC 89.7 FM and the Eugene Marathon. I am the first president of the chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Lane Community College, striving to recruit students for local and national volunteer opportunities.
Hobbies: I have an interest in hot air ballooning. I have flown twice, once in Oregon and the second time at the 40th annual International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM. My musical aspiration is to learn to play the harp! I have little experience through lessons for several months in Portland; learned to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star! Art wise, I’m interested in crafting kaleidoscopes.
